LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Fans of Texas Roadhouse Rolls might want to head to your local Walmart in the not-too-distant future.
What you need to know The news was announced on social media by food blogger Markie DeVoe, who posted a photo of the packaging and information about the product's release in select Walmart stores.
The blogger said he obtained the photo from the T. Marzetti Company, a specialty foods manufacturer and distributor that lists Texas Roadhouse as one of its licensing partners.
The rolls will be available at Walmart stores in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky starting June 29th.
Following in Red Lobster's footsteps with its Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Texas Roadhouse will be selling packs of the rolls at select Walmart locations.
The news broke when food blogger Markie Debo posted a photo of the packaging on social media, which she said she obtained from T. Marzetti Companies, a specialty foods manufacturer and distributor that lists Texas Roadhouse as one of its licensing partners.
According to his Instagram post, the package contains 12 mini rolls and also includes a honey cinnamon glaze.
According to the post, the rolls will be available at Walmart stores in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky starting June 29.
You might be wondering why not Texas? In fact, this national chain got its start in Indiana and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, the hometown of founder W. Kent Taylor.
Unfortunately for Texans, no date has yet been announced for the rolls to hit frozen food sections in Texas, but if they're a hit, they could appear in frozen food sections across the country sometime this fall.
