Shah Rukh Khan's popularity reaches far beyond India. The celebrated actor, considered one of the richest actors in the world, recently made headlines with a video showing off his sprawling house in London. The stately property in the heart of the British capital has become a tourist attraction. The opulent home serves as a holiday home for Shah Rukh Khan and his family, highlighting his status as a global icon.
The video was shared by one of the Instagram users. In the short video, a huge white mansion is seen. The luxurious mansion is located in one of the most exclusive streets in London. The video was captioned, “This is Shah Rukh Khan's London home. It is priced at around £20 million (approximately INR 2.12 billion), the highest amount paid by a Bollywood star to own a home abroad. The address of the home is 117 Park Lane, London, W1K 7AH.” As per a report by Hindustan Times, it turns out that the entire house does not belong to him and he only owns the basement apartment of the property.
After the video went viral, many of SRK's fans flocked to the comments section to voice their opinions. One user wrote, “This is next to the Aston Martin showroom opposite Hyde Park in Mayfair.”
Another user commented: “This is one of his houses in London. He has many in Mayfair. He bought quite a few properties in the early 2000s with his then best friend and co-star Juhi Chawla.”
“What a dream place, I couldn't go anywhere else,” said one fan.
According to a 2009 Manchester Evening News report, this was the largest amount a Bollywood star had paid for a property outside India.
Recently, another video of Shah Rukh Khan's mansion in Beverly Hills, California, USA, also went viral on social media. In the video, it can be seen that the mansion has three bedrooms and six bathrooms. The rent for the building is around Rs 200,000 per night.
