Soulful New Orleans-style Southern restaurant opens in Boca Raton
The popular bar and restaurant in Boca Raton's Mizner Park was renovated and recently reopened as a quaint eatery specializing in Southern-inspired cuisine with a soulful New Orleans twist.
Subculture, the well-known South Florida-based hospitality group, quietly opened its eighth location in Palm Beach County on June 15. This follows the recent opening of its El Segundo location in West Palm Beach, with more concepts set to open in the coming months.
The restaurant, named Penelope, is located in the former location of the original Kapow! Noodle Bar at 431 Plaza Real and is currently open for dinner daily with plans to expand hours to include lunch and weekend brunch in the coming weeks.

Outdoor ice skating in West Palm Beach? Luxury hotel plans to open rink in November
This winter — or any other sun-drenched winter in the region — festival-goers may have the opportunity to rent skateboards and glide across the ice at an outdoor rink in downtown West Palm Beach that's open to the public.
Ben Hotels hopes to use the vacant space next to Elisabetta Ristorante on Banyan Boulevard to build a temporary rink that could accommodate 78 skaters, who probably won't be needing scuba gear or life jackets anytime soon.
The West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, which uses taxpayer money to rehabilitate blighted areas of the city, owns the land and must approve the plans for the rink.

JetBlue Launches New Nonstop Flights Between New York and (PBI) West Palm Beach, Other Florida Cities
New York-based airline JetBlue will begin daily nonstop service to Orlando from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) in October, as well as four weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach (PBI). JetBlue already operates from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), but this will be the airline's first time serving Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP).
