A Canadian toddler who fell asleep singing his favorite butter chicken song was rewarded for his efforts with a popular Indian dish for dinner the next day. The video, shared by his entrepreneur mother, is now making waves on social media.

Entrepreneur Breanna Hughes shared a video of her 2-year-old son Hayes tossing and turning in his crib singing about butter chicken. “Butter chicken. Yummy. Yummy… So yummy. Butter chicken. I love butter, I love butter chicken,” the toddler sang in the video, which has been viewed 4 million times on Instagram.

“My 2 year old fell asleep singing the butter chicken song,” Hughes wrote on Instagram, sharing nanny camera footage of the two-year-old singing along.

Footage of Hayes singing delighted millions around the world.
“I'm 477 months old and I sing the butter chicken song every night before bed. Totally normal behaviour,” one Instagram user jokingly commented.
“You should play this at his wedding and serve butter chicken,” suggested another.
“Someone should make this kid butter chicken,” a third commenter wrote.
Hughes, who is co-founder of fertility supplement brand Bird & Bee, said his whole family are “huge fans of Indian food and culture”.
The next day, Hayes received a bowl of butter chicken and naan bread for dinner. “To celebrate Hayes' butter chicken video getting over 200,000 views we had to treat Hayes to some butter chicken tonight!” her mother wrote on Instagram.
