Over 100 destinations are available for sale.
Canada's major airlines have announced major sales over the Canada Day long weekend.
Air Canada and WestJet offer tickets to destinations throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean, as well as select international cities. Many destinations are available for flights departing from Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
Each airline plans to continue offering discount sales after July 1st.
Air Canada
Canada's national airline is offering discounts to cities in Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean as part of a promotion that runs until July 3rd.
The Air Canada sale applies to new flights in Economy, Premium Economy or Business Class through February 16, 2025. Applies only to Air Canada's published base fares, which are not discounted.
Tickets must be reserved by July 3rd at 8:59pm
Air Canada's sale fares from Vancouver include $206 one-way to Montreal on September 25, $161 one-way to Toronto on October 12, and $171 one-way to Orange County on September 16 (see slide 2).
WestJet
Following a second strike notice from WestJet aircraft maintenance technicians, the federal government imposed binding arbitration between the airline and the union, preventing any labor unrest over the holiday weekend.
Customers on WestJet flights in all fare classes scheduled between June 26 and June 28 will receive a one-time free change or cancellation fee waiver.
WestJet's scheduled flights are scheduled to depart as scheduled barring unexpected delays or cancellations, and the company is urging travelers to book flights from now through February 16, 2025.
Travelers can save on seven million seats to the more than 100 destinations around the world that the airline serves.
The WestJet sale applies to non-discounted flights in UltraBasic, Econo, Premium and Business class.
