The ranking is based on a comprehensive analysis of factors such as infrastructure, sustainability, and competitive pricing. In the latest World Economic Forum Travel & Tourism Development Index 2024, India ranks 39th out of 119 countries. Topping the list is the United States, followed by several major European countries and emerging destinations in Asia. The United States took the top spot thanks to its well-established tourism industry, diverse attractions like the Statue of Liberty and the Grand Canyon, and vibrant cities. In 2023, the United States welcomed more than 80 million international tourists.
Spain
