The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is hosting approximately 1,400 travel advisors and suppliers at its sold-out 2024 Travel Advisor Conference this week at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.
The immersive event, which has been renamed from this year's ASTA Global Convention, is targeted at advisors of all experience levels and will feature educational sessions, networking opportunities, an exhibition featuring more than 200 suppliers, a signature advocacy dinner gala and more from May 29-31.
Highlights for 2024 include an expanded lineup of events, three different educational tracks tailored to advisors’ experience levels, and the opportunity for advisors to earn Certified Travel Advisor certification on-site.
Tennis legend, entrepreneur and best-selling author Venus Williams will be the event's keynote speaker. Former FBI Chief Hostage Negotiator and author Chris Voss, Hilton President Chris Nassetta, Carnival Cruise Lines President Christine Duffy and Harvard Business School Adjunct Lecturer Candice Bertotti will also share insights.
ASTA will also recognize the winners of significant awards including Consortium Partner of the Year, Host Agency Partner of the Year, Robert Daglin Chapter Excellence Award, President's Travel Advisor Leadership Award, Supplier Medal of Excellence, Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Travel Advisor of the Year, Partner Company of the Year and Partner Representative of the Year.
“We're excited about this year's newly branded conference,” ASTA president and CEO Zane Kirby said in a statement. “Our goal was to create an event that was distinct in both its audience and its promise.”
“This conference will teach you how to improve your business. This conference is for everyone, no matter where you are in the travel industry. You belong here,” he added.
