It's pretty quiet at night at Waterfront Park. Temperatures are starting to drop a little bit to the upper 70s with just a 5 mph breeze coming from the south and southwest. The dew point is still dry and in the 50s. It feels very comfortable to be outside. As we get closer to 70 degrees, our skin starts to feel a little sticky. 66 in Madison, 68 in Seymour, 72 in Paoli. It's the same situation in Grayson County with 67 in Brandonburgh, E-Town, and 68 in Campbellsville. Now let's look at the next 12 hours. The sun is going down. We're watching these numbers drop, but they may be dropping a little slower. I think we'll be in the low 70s around midnight, then 60s after midnight. And then we'll get down to the 60s in the metro before the numbers start to rise again. Tomorrow morning, as the sun comes up, outside of the city, the temperatures will drop a little bit, and the lows are trending down quite a bit right now. It'll be 65 in Louisville, but it'll be in the upper 50s in Bullitt County, around 60 in Lebanon, 56 in Greene County, Adair County up north, and North Vernon in Madison (5859). You get the idea. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s, closer to 60. If you live outside of downtown, the heat tends to last a little longer because of the heat island effect and there's a lot of concrete. Tomorrow, everyone will get back to warmer temperatures. Temperatures will be a lot warmer than normal, around 90 degrees. It should be closer to 85 or 86 degrees. So pack some light, loose clothing and get used to the heat, because it's only going to get warmer. Let's take a look. On the radar going forward, we'll see clouds thicken around Friday. It'll start in the morning. This is from a system moving into our area from the north. By the time it gets to our area, there's not much moisture left. So it's going to be hard for anyone to get rained on. But keep your rain gear in the back seat because there's a chance of some localized showers on Friday afternoon. You might not need it, but it's nice to have. You might just get a couple of windshield wipers going on Friday afternoon. You'll notice that. We won't get a lot of green as this system slowly fades away. And then Friday night it's done, and we'll have a dry weekend, but Saturday will be full of sun and pretty normal temperatures. But Sunday, Father's Day, we'll be at 94 degrees, almost 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. We might get some rain early next week at 97. We'll probably get some sudden thunderstorms. It's going to be very hot and some sudden rain. It's going to look like summer. Big clouds will form, rain, then move in, and it'll come back on Tuesday and Wednesday. We're trying to stay out of the rain.
