INDIA – The heatwave in India's capital Delhi shows no signs of abating, making nights uncomfortably hot. A Centre for Environmental Science report laid bare the severity of the situation, revealing that while night-time temperatures in the city's suburbs have dropped by 12.2 degrees, Delhi has only seen a drop of 8.5 degrees. This prolonged heatwave is particularly tough on people without access to air conditioning, such as cycle autorickshaw drivers, who are suffering from reduced passenger numbers and the physical strain of driving in such extreme conditions.
