The cruise will also call at Tahiti and Hawaii.
Metro Vancouver residents can experience an epic cruise this fall that stops in Hawaii before visiting the South Pacific.
Princess Cruises' 36-Day Tahiti, Hawaii & South Pacific Transit cruise starts at just over $100 per day, making it one of the best deals for a cruise leaving from the Lower Mainland on a luxury cruise ship, with meals and entertainment included in the price (see slide 2).
The five-star Royal Princess boasts the cruise line's largest top-deck swimming pool and a host of other facilities, including evening water and light shows, mini golf, movies under the stars, renowned spa treatments, a disco, nine bars and tennis courts.
The cruise will overnight in Vancouver on Saturday, September 21st, before heading to Victoria on September 22nd. The cruise will spend a few days at sea before sailing under San Francisco's enchanting Golden Gate Bridge. Guests will spend a full day in the city from 7am to 10pm.
After one more day at sea, the cruise will make multiple stops in San Diego and Los Angeles, California, before continuing on to Hawaii for a five-day voyage. The cruise will call at Honolulu and Kona, spending another five days at sea before continuing on to the South Pacific Islands.
An overnight stay is available in Tahiti before a stop in the Society Islands. After three days at sea, the cruise stops in American Samoa before crossing the International Date Line.
The voyage will include three stops in New Zealand before arriving in Sydney, Australia, its final port on October 28th.

Book a room on Princess Cruises
On Royal Princess, you can choose from four cabin categories. Prices, excluding taxes and fees, start at $3,278 per person for an interior and go up to $14,578 for a suite. Taxes, fees and port handling charges are $707.29 per person for this voyage and are added with cabin selection (see slide 3).
The cheapest option is to let Princess choose your stateroom (saving you about $100 per person). Large cruise ships don't rock too much, although rough weather can cause noticeable rocking. If you get seasick, we recommend choosing a stateroom in the middle of the ship, which tends to be sturdier.
Rates for an interior cabin for two people start at $7,969, or $3,984.94 per person, including taxes and fees, which works out to a per person rate of $110.69 (see slide 4).
This price includes not only transportation on a beautiful 5-star vessel, but also meals, entertainment, snacks and accommodation. Alcohol is not included, but you can purchase a drinks package to save money.
Book a flight from Sydney to Vancouver, Australia
The return flight from Sydney Airport (SYD) to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) departs at 5:25pm on October 28th and costs $937 when booked through third-party supplier Jettzy. The itinerary includes stops in Brisbane and Taipei, but it allows enough time to get to the airport after the cruise, making it about $400 cheaper than a regular flight, according to Google Flights (see slide 5).
Alternatively, to save a few hundred dollars on your return flight and spend more time in Hawaii, you could book two separate flights: one direct from Sydney to Honolulu, and one direct from Honolulu to Vancouver.
The Jetstar flight departs Sydney at 5:25pm on October 28th to Honolulu. The flight can be booked through a third party, ly.com, for $264, but can be purchased for $327 if you book directly with the airline. ly.com may not have English-speaking representatives (see slide 6). Travelers should take this into consideration to deal with any issues that may arise during the trip.
Most round-trip WestJet flights to Vancouver are roughly the same at $143, so you can spend as many days in Hawaii as you like once you arrive (see slide 7).
The cost is $470 (when booked directly with both airlines), about $467 less than booking a one-way flight from Sydney to Vancouver.
