The future of travel
The action-packed days of ILTM Asia Pacific 2024 are set to be as educational as they are thrilling, with the event kicking off with an Opening Forum on Monday, 1 July at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia, Singapore, followed by an Opening Party at the same venue.
One of the most interesting topics will be the presentation by Alison Gilmore, Portfolio Director at ILTM, and Jenny Lo, Managing Partner at FINN Partners, who will share key insights from their new joint consumer intelligence study on “The Future of Travel in the Hands of Chinese Female Travellers.”
Digging into data that shows women control 70-80% of travel decisions in China and nearly six in 10 Chinese tourists were female last year, the authors highlight changing gender dynamics that could benefit luxury travel leaders.
Learn about young Chinese couples who are spending more on travel, trips that are often planned by the women. Gilmore and Law talk about these women's motivations, interests, preferences, spending, and behaviors.
The survey, conducted among women aged 25-55, asked them what sparks their desire to travel, who they travel with, and how social media, health, retail, cooking and sustainable tourism resonate with them, revealing some fascinating facts behind the data.
