I'm about to board a plane and haven't yet decided what my travel outfit will be. However, I've already flown thousands of miles this year (not to mention been on a 737 many times in the past!) so I'm not stressed. This time, however, is different and more exciting, mainly because I'm going to Italy for a wedding. So, as you can probably imagine, I don't want to look too casual on this flight. I want everyone to know that I'm a bride (can I get an upgrade, Delta?), so I won't be wearing sweats. And I certainly won't be wearing white, but I'd like a color in between. Luckily, I have a few hours to spare, and Jennifer Garner has suggested some of the most unusual travel outfits I'd like to emulate.
Garner is clearly a travel pro. As a celebrity, mother, and icon, she clocks up plenty of plane miles traveling from film sets, events, and galas back to her home in Los Angeles. So, I totally trust her travel uniform. And while she certainly rocks baggy pants and comfy sweats, she was spotted at the airport in a whopping denim midi dress. Yes, seriously.
Garner looked super stylish after her flight, carrying a personalized canvas bag in one hand (so relatable!) and a sweater in the other. The dark wash midi dress seems to have a bit of stretch, which is probably why she chose to wear it during the flight. It also has a floaty silhouette, so it's roomy and breathable even in a cramped seat. The sweater provided some much-needed warmth, and the sneaker and knee-high socks combo was the height of comfort. Genius, Garner!

I used to think wearing jeans on a plane was a big no-no, but I've learned it all comes down to stretch and therefore comfort. It's up to you! What works for one trip may not work for another, but Garner's denim midi is 100% worth a try, especially if you (like me) have to get somewhere as soon as you get off the plane and arrive.
As mentioned above, denim midi dresses are airy and breathable. Opt for a stretchy fabric so you don't feel confined. A sweater is a must for flying, and sneakers are my trusty travel shoes. There's no substitute for sneakers. In summary, Garner's unconventional yet super stylish travel look is exactly what I'm planning to wear in a few hours. The bride's tiara is still up in the air.
