Experts have offered their thoughts on why they believe UFOs are targeting high-speed planes, warheads and nuclear reactors, following multiple internet posts that appear to show UFOs flying close to such objects.

In 1976, British Airways aired an advertisement for a Concorde flight that showed a UFO-like object zooming towards the aircraft and appearing to analyze it before drifting away. This unidentified UFO sighting has now resurfaced on Reddit’s UFO subchannel, sparking debate.

Another incident was spotted during the Queen’s Jubilee in 2022, when she was saluted by a squadron of nine fighter jets. An unidentified flying saucer was spotted nearby as the aircraft was spewing smoke. It remains unclear what the object was.
In another incident, several UFOs were said to have appeared in the skies above Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant following the 2011 nuclear disaster.
Experts have already concluded that such behavior is evidence that whatever object is in the sky is worried about us, especially considering the possibility of it detonating itself with a nuclear weapon. UFO activity has been linked to nuclear weapons and facilities ever since the invention of the atomic bomb in 1945.

Many theories about UFO behavior have emerged in the past. Investigative journalist George Knapp told History.com, “All of the nuclear facilities — Los Alamos, Livermore, Sandia, Savannah River — have had dramatic incidents where unknown aircraft have appeared over the facilities, but no one knows where they came from or what they are doing.”
Lou Elizondo, former director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, agreed that “there seems to be a lot of correlation” between nuclear facilities and UFO appearances. Robert Hastings, an independent researcher who has worked for full government disclosure of UAP activity, said in 2010 that “declassified U.S. government documents and testimony from former and retired U.S. military personnel confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt the reality that UFO incursions at nuclear weapons facilities continue to occur.”

The UFOs were initially interested in building nuclear weapons, but were later spotted near silos and bomber bases, according to a new three-part study by former US Air Force Staff Sergeant Larry Hancock and Ian Pollitt, a data analyst with Harvard University’s Galileo UFO-hunting Project.
“We saw this interest when the silos were being installed, before activity died down,” Pollitt previously told the Daily Mail. He added that the UFOs have since begun to approach ICBM bases in a “much more intrusive” way. “They’re at very low altitudes and they penetrate the security perimeter of the bases,” Pollitt said.
Two Air Force veterans previously told the outlet that they testified to the All-Spectrum Anomalies Resolution Office (AARO) in June 2023 that a UFO had deactivated a nuclear warhead. In a similar incident in 1964, former U.S. Air Force Lt. Robert Jacobs said a UFO had “deactivated” an unarmed warhead.

“Remember, this thing is traveling at several thousand miles per hour. It fires a beam at the warhead, it hits the warhead, it goes up, fires another beam, goes down, fires another beam, and then it leaves the same way it came in, and the warhead tumbles out of space,” Jacobs said in a 2000 interview, adding that he was instructed “never to speak about this encounter again.”
There have also been instances of UAPs chasing fighter jets: in 2004, veteran Navy fighter pilot Commander David Fravor allegedly saw a “giant Tic-Tac” UFO. Given the similarities between all these incidents, there certainly seems to be a connection.
