Sarah Jessica Parker teaches her twins to have a positive relationship with food.
After having daughters Tabitha and Marion, 14, with husband Matthew Broderick, Parker, 59, knew she wanted to promote open-ended eating at home, something that hadn't existed in her childhood. . (Parker and Broderick are also parents to son James Wilkie, 21.)

The Sex and the City star said that when she was a child, she wasn't allowed to eat dessert in the house. “And of course, the moment we moved in, all we did was buy Entenmann cake and cookies,” she told host Lucy Rogers. “I didn't want that.” [for my kids]. ”
“We have cookies and cake and everything in our house. I think you'll have healthier relationships as a result. My daughters will be in the shape they are now, and hopefully healthy.” And I hope you're an athlete and you enjoy the food,” she said.
Parker and Broderick, 62, share cooking duties at home. “On Sundays, Matthew cooks. We both cook all day, every day. We probably have dinner as a family every night,” she said.

When she's filming her own show or Broderick is in a play, “things change,” but she still tries to avoid eating out. In those cases, Parker admitted, she would call the restaurant to request pickup or delivery instead of using her delivery app.
One of her favorite dishes to have on a busy day is soup. “I was cooking during the day. I made the lamb stew and Matthew made the white bean soup, so I knew we had that,” she said of her recent meal. Ta. “I like to keep it in the fridge during my lunch break.”

She added: “We love to cook. And it's boring to keep telling each other what to eat. What shall we eat? Are we going to the grocery store? Are we going to the market? But it's just That’s kind of what we’re doing.”
The couple's commitment to keeping a busy kitchen has paid off in a big way for their children.
“We don't really think of ourselves as chefs or anything like that,” she said, “our kids always … they always say, ' Wow, we're really lucky.''' We get to eat dinner every night. ”
