Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Mississauga woman after she allegedly used over 100 stolen credit card numbers on the OLG’s iGaming website.
Police began looking into allegations of fraud on April 7, 2023. null
“The lengthy investigation revealed an individual had registered over 100 credit card numbers on the OLG gaming site. The credit card numbers had been obtained through fraudulent means,” police said in a release Wednesday.
On September 14, police made an arrest.
Donna-Marie Lakshman, 48, is facing 18 counts of fraud under $5000, as well as charges of identify theft and use credit card date.
