Demon slayer season 4 release date
It has been revealed that Demon Slayer Season 4 will debut in Spring 2024, which could lead to a similar release schedule as Season 3. The official release date for Demon Slayer Season 4 is currently May 12, 2024. How long will the season be? Whether it will last ultimately depends on how many episodes Season 4 is planned to be. If they really only adapt the pillar training arc, season 4 could be very short.
demon slayer season 4 story
Demon Slayer Season 4, as the title suggests, adapts the Pillar Training arc of the manga where Tanjiro undergoes the necessary training to become a Pillar. Tanjiro will train with the strongest pillars, including those who have not appeared much so far, such as Stone Pillar and Scream Island Gyoumei. This provides a great spotlight for these characters and helps fans get a better feel for their personalities than the original Pillars meeting scene.
However, the length of the pillar training arc is very short at only 9 chapters. For comparison, the 11-episode Swordsmith Village arc is 27 chapters long in the manga, meaning each episode is adapted by about two chapters. That suggests that Demon Slayer season 4 will only be 4-5 episodes, or that the season won't just cover this short arc. The arc that comes after the Pillar Training arc is Demon Slayer's Infinity Castle arc, which is 46 chapters long and requires an entire season's worth of episodes in and of itself.

Demon Slayer has historically tried to release entire arcs at once rather than splitting them up over seasons, but that may have to change for Season 4. With all these things, it's hard to say how far season 4 will cover at this point. More official details will clarify the issue.
Characters from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4
Of course, the main cast will appear in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4, but I'm looking forward to seeing the pillars get more attention. Many pillars have not played much role in the story yet, such as the Stone Pillar's Screaming Gyoumei, the Serpent Pillar's Iguro Obanai, and the Wind Pillar's Miya Fushikawa, so it is a good idea to introduce these characters and get to know them. It will be an opportunity. Tanjiro spends time training with them one-on-one, giving them the opportunity to build valuable relationships for the final chapter.
Tanjiro doesn't just train with the unfocused pillars. Fan favorites such as Mitsuri Kanroji and Muichiro Tokito from Season 3, and Tengen Uzui from Season 2 also return to help Tanjiro with his training. The story also catches up with Zenitsu and Inosuke, who were sent on another mission away from Tanjiro, so they don't participate in the Swordsmith Village arc. Genya is also with him and has some issues to resolve with his younger brother Saneya.
That's all we know about Demon Slayer Season 4 so far. However, please check back regularly for updates, trailers, and new information as they become available.
