The Book of Dalgliesh season 3: what’s going to happen?
The upcoming season will consist of six episodes and will cover three of James’ novels: Death in Holy Orders, Cover Her Face and his debut novel, Devices and Desires.
Here’s the synopsis for Death in Holy Orders: “Dalgliesh visits a remote seminary overlooking a windswept lake, where a brutally murdered body has been discovered.
“Almost everyone at the seminary has a reason to hate the victim, and Dalgliesh and Detective Inspector Tarrant must unravel a complex series of motives to find the killer.”
“Cover Her Face” sees Dalgliesh “investigating a murder at the Essex mansion of the Mehtas, a fabulously wealthy family with ties to the British government.”
“With the help of local detective Clive Roscoe, Dalgliesh unravels the events leading up to the crime, confronting a veil of secrecy surrounding wary suspects.”
Here’s the synopsis for Devices and Desires: “Dalgliesh is sent on a time-sensitive mission to investigate a terrorist plot against a nuclear power station on the Kent coast.
“He soon becomes embroiled in a complex and intense serial killer hunt, reuniting with his former colleague, Kate Miskin, who is now acting DCI.”
“Dalglish” will air on Channel 5.
