The 2024 NBA Draft is over. The two-night selection process began with the first round on Wednesday and ended with the second round on Thursday. After much tension, the Atlanta Hawks used their first pick to select French big man Zachary Lisacher. He was one of four French players selected in the first round.
While new prospects were the main focus of the event, no draft would be complete without a trade. NBA fans didn't have to wait until draft day to see the first big hit of the summer. On Tuesday, it was reported that the Knicks had acquired Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets, which caused quite a stir. The Nets received five first-round draft picks in the trade, none of which were in the 2024 draft class.
There were a few smaller transactions over the two days, most notably the San Antonio Spurs trading No. 8 overall pick Rob Dillingham (the second lottery pick of the night) to the Minnesota Timberwolves for an unprotected 2030 first-round draft pick and a protected 2031 first-round draft pick swap.
Surprisingly, no veteran stars were traded during the draft. We'll have to wait until later in the offseason to see any bigger moves. Here's a look at all the trades that took place on draft day.
